Choosing a casket upgrade lets you expand the number of choices in your casket selection so that you can choose from metal caskets with increased protective quality or higher quality wood caskets. Caskets are divided into five different price groups: $1,095, $1,395, $1,895, $2,395, and Premium Products, which vary in price from $2,400 to $9,000. Complete casket selections, with upgrade opportunities, will be presented to you at the ceremony design meeting.
Vaults are made of concrete or metal. The strength and quality of concrete vaults can be upgraded through different types of lining. Metal vaults can be upgraded through increased thickness or more durable materials such as Stainless Steel. Complete vault selections, with upgrade opportunities, will be presented to you at the ceremony design meeting.
Many people will choose to upgrade the obituary allowance to more completely tell and honor the life story. To provide a greater opportunity for more friends and community members to be aware of services, families will add an additional day. Your ceremony design specialist can provide details about other options such as including a photo in the obituary. The Obituary Allowance included in most packages is $200 and includes 32 lines in the daily Columbus Dispatch. The Upgrade allowance is $100 and provides for 18 additional lines in the daily Columbus Dispatch.
Honor the life lived with a full color, trifold, life brochure keepsake. A copy of the obituary, a favorite verse, and 6-8 pictures of what was important in the life of your loved one are included. 50 Copies (included in Value Packages) $75
Remember the details of the visitation and funeral ceremony through our standard register book. In addition to serving as your register book for the service, this bound book is a safe place to hold memory cards, flower cards, a copy of the life brochure (if selected), and your DVD tribute (if selected). The book also provides a place to keep sympathy cards and other important information. You may upgrade this memory keepsake by including additional family photos, photos of tributes, flowers, memory displays, and other special service elements. Remember the life lived and create opportunities to share favorite memories with this meaningful keepsake. Up to 20 photos are scanned and placed into a slide show with background music for use during the visitation or funeral ceremonies. DVD Tribute included in Value Package (up to 20 photos) $100
Flowers are a traditional way to express sympathy and sadness from the loss. Many types of flowers or flower arrangements can be selected to reflect the life of your loved one. Casket Flower Spray included in Value Package You may also choose to upgrade to personalized Flower Sprays or add additional flower arrangements. Your ceremony design specialist will share with you all your choices.
Thank you cards recognize the thoughtful kindness of friends and community members. These cards can be upgraded or personalized with a photo of the person who died and a thank you verse with the family name on it. Thank you cards included in most packages $25 for 75 cards
It is important that children and grandchildren be able to participate in the funeral service and to express their grief. Funeral Choices will provide a Treasured Expressions Box for each child to decorate. Messages, pictures, or other items that remind the child of the person who died may be placed inside. These boxes can be placed inside the casket as part of the service or before the casket is closed. Treasured Expression Boxes are provided at no additional charge.
Our special coloring books, entitled “Something to Help you Say Goodbye,” were developed to discuss death and funerals with children. The book includes “A Guide for Grown-ups” to provide additional thoughts on talking about death with children. Coloring Books are provided at no additional charge.
A packet of wildflower seeds to plant, a buckeye, a copy of her famous sugar cookie recipe, or the cookies themselves—special items like these can be made available to friends and family attending the services. These keepsakes can add a personal touch to complete the ceremony and create a lasting memory. Costs vary.
You can select commemorative jewelry to keep the memory of your loved one close to your heart. Thumbies is a one-of-a-kind imprint of your loved one’s thumb print. The imprint is transformed into a pendant necklace, cuff links, tie tack, earrings, or key chain, all which are available in a variety of materials. Cremation families can select from a range of jewelry options that contain a small amount of remains from the cremation process. Your funeral director will be happy to provide detailed information on these jewelry options.
During visitation or calling hours, we will make our catering package available for you, your family, and friends. The standard catering package includes a vegetable tray, cold cuts tray, bread for sandwiches, fruit tray, condiments, six 2-liter bottles of soda, ice for drinks, plates, napkins, and cups. Visitation Catering—Standard Package $300 Catering options are also available for delivery to your home or another place where a post service gathering occurs.
As a way of thanking and honoring your pallbearers, families may select limousine service for six pallbearers. After the Committal Service at the cemetery, the limousine will take the pallbearers back to the place of service. Limousine (within 30 miles) $195
Following the Committal Service, our staff will deliver planters, vases, and other keepsake arrangements to your home or any other place you indicate, such as nursing homes or assisted living centers, where they can brighten the day of others. Flower Delivery (within 30 miles) $175 for vehicle and driver
Write a personal goodbye note and tie it to a balloon for additional meaning. Multi-colored, helium filled balloons and notepaper are provided for your use. Balloon releases are weather dependent. Balloon Release of 50 balloons $150
Release two white doves at the Committal Service to symbolize the transition of your relationship with the person who died. Dove releases are weather and seasonal dependent. Dove Release—2 doves $200
